1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pack-It Movers website (packitmovers.com) and the moving services we provide. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, scheduling services, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

Pack-It Movers provides residential and commercial moving labor services throughout Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. Services may include:

  • Residential Moving
  • Commercial Moving
  • Loading & Unloading
  • Furniture Assembly & Disassembly
  • Packing Services
  • Long Distance Moving
  • Storage Assistance

Packing materials are available for purchase. Packing labor is billed at our standard hourly rate.

3. Estimates & Pricing

Any estimate provided by phone, SMS, email, website, chatbot, or online form is a non-binding estimate intended for informational purposes only.

Actual charges are based on:

  • Total labor hours
  • Travel time
  • Trip fee
  • Packing requirements
  • Accessibility
  • Additional requested services

A final quote is provided after reviewing the move details. Pack-It Movers reserves the right to adjust pricing if actual moving conditions differ from those originally provided.

4. Scheduling & Cancellations

Appointments are scheduled based on availability. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible at 713-779-6857.

Pack-It Movers reserves the right to reschedule services because of:

  • Severe weather
  • Unsafe working conditions
  • Equipment failures
  • Events outside our reasonable control

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate moving information
  • Ensure legal and safe access to both locations
  • Disclose oversized or specialty items
  • Prepare belongings unless packing services are purchased

Customers are responsible for ensuring utilities, elevators, and parking access are available when necessary.

6. SMS Messaging Program

By providing your mobile phone number and voluntarily opting in through our website, quote request form, or another approved method, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Pack-It Movers.

Messages may include:

  • Moving estimate follow-ups
  • Appointment confirmations
  • Scheduling updates
  • Service reminders
  • Customer support communications
  • Promotional offers and discounts (only if you separately opt into marketing messages)
  • Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with us.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe.
  • Reply HELP for assistance.
  • Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

7. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services, request moving estimates, or enroll in our SMS messaging program.

8. Deposits & Payment

Clients are required to pay a deposit to reserve a moving date. Deposits are non-refundable. Remaining balances are due before completion of the move.

Accepted payment methods include cash, debit cards, credit cards, and approved payment apps. Personal and business checks are not accepted. Applicable taxes will be added. Credit/debit card payments incur a 0.825% processing fee.

All Sales Are Final: No refunds will be issued once services have been rendered.

9. Card Verification

For fraud prevention, clients paying by card may be required to provide:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Front of payment card
  • Back of payment card

Verification must be completed before payment is processed.

10. Trip Fees & Weather

Trip fees are calculated using pickup and destination locations.

Drive Time Charge: If the move destination is more than 30 minutes from zip code 77040, the Client will be charged for the hourly drive time required for the truck to return.

Moves occurring during rain or severe weather are performed at the customer's own risk. Pack-It Movers is not liable for damages to property or belongings caused by weather conditions.

Hourly billing continues during weather-related delays. If weather causes the moving crew to take breaks, the hourly rate continues to apply and the clock keeps running at the Client's expense.

11. Equipment

Pack-It Movers provides:

  • Moving truck
  • Standard moving equipment
  • Basic tool kit (screwdriver, power drill, and a 40-piece socket set)

Customers are responsible for:

  • Specialty tools required to disassemble or reassemble specific items in the home
  • Mattress bags (Pack-It Movers is not responsible for soiled mattresses if bags are not provided)
  • Specialty packing supplies unless purchased from us

Final Truck Inspection: The Client is required to inspect the inside of the moving truck prior to the movers' departure to confirm all belongings have been unloaded.

12. Insurance & Claims

Optional valuation coverage may be purchased before the move begins.

Coverage:

  • Maximum valuation of $1,000
  • Based on $0.60 per pound

Coverage excludes:

  • TVs not packed in approved TV boxes
  • IKEA and particle-board furniture
  • Weather-related damage

Claims must be submitted within 7 days after the move.

13. Storage

Storage fees:

  • $150/day overnight truck storage
  • Storage payments due on the 1st
  • $75 late fee

Accounts more than 30 days past due may be auctioned according to Texas law.

14. Limitation of Liability

Pack-It Movers' liability is limited as permitted by Texas and Federal moving regulations. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

15. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including logos, text, graphics, and images, is owned by or licensed to Pack-It Movers. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Venue shall be Harris County, Texas.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes become effective immediately upon posting.

18. Privacy Policy

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

By signing your moving estimate, paying your deposit, or permitting our crew to begin work, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
